Papa John's International Inc. on Aug. 27 appointed Rob Lynch as president and CEO, effective immediately.
Lynch replaces Steve Ritchie, who became CEO of the company in December 2017. Lynch previously was the president of sandwich restaurant chain Arby's.
Louisville, Ky.-based Papa John's said Lynch will focus on tapping the brand's future potential.
Papa John's founder John Schnatter resigned as chairman in July 2018 after allegedly using a racial slur during a conference call. In March, Schnatter agreed to dismiss the lawsuits he filed against Papa John's.
