Trans-Siberian updates resources at Asacha mine with 391,000 ounces of gold

Trans-Siberian Gold PLC updated the resource estimate for its Asacha project on Russia's Kamchatka peninsula, with measured and indicated resources containing 391,000 ounces of gold and 1.1 million ounces of silver within 611,000 tonnes grading 20 g/t of gold and 56 g/t of silver.

According to a May 30 release, the property also hosts inferred resources of 345,000 tonnes at 23 g/t of gold and 48 g/t of silver, representing 260,000 ounces of gold and 540,000 ounces of silver.

The estimate uses a cutoff of 4 g/t of gold, incorporates mining depletion as of the end of 2017 and covers two deposits, the Main zone and the East zone. The Main zone comprises six defined veins, two of which host the bulk of the resources.

Trans-Siberian said the Main zone is being mined and the East zone has not yet been mined.
