Goodman Group agreed to sell a land parcel within its Goodman Business Park development in the Greater Tokyo area to Alphabet Inc.'s Google LLC subsidiary.

The multinational technology company is paying an undisclosed amount to the Australia-listed real estate developer for the property, which will be used to house its first data center in Japan. More details regarding the planned development will be shared in due course, according to a news release.

Goodman Business Park is a logistics and business precinct that will provide more than 900,000 square meters of space upon completion. It will cater to the needs of companies that foray in various industries including technology, logistics and distribution, light manufacturing, food and non-food retailers, e-commerce and the automotive sector.
