Kao Corp.'s beauty division, Kanebo Cosmetics Inc., said Dec. 1 that Yoshihiro Murakami, who is president of Kao's global skin care business, has been elected president and representative director of the cosmetics unit.

Murakami will replace Masumi Natsusaka, who is resigning as president and representative director of Kanebo.

Kanebo also disclosed the promotion of executive officer and Kanebo Cosmetics (China) Co. Ltd. President Yasushi Nakamura to managing executive officer and the appointment of marketing-mass market brands senior director Shinji Kasuga as executive officer.

Further, the company said executive officers Nobuaki Konishi and Toyonobu Kawa are stepping down from their posts.

The changes all take effect Jan. 1, 2018.
