Brahim's Holdings Bhd. said its normalized net income for the second quarter came to a loss of 1 Malaysian sen per share, compared with a loss of 2 sen per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of 3.3 million ringgits, compared with a loss of 3.6 million ringgits in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin rose to negative 5.4% from negative 5.4% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue fell 8.4% on an annual basis to 61.5 million ringgits from 67.1 million ringgits, and total operating expenses fell 9.4% from the prior-year period to 65.7 million ringgits from 72.6 million ringgits.
Reported net income totaled a loss of 5.8 million ringgits, or a loss of 2 sen per share, compared to a loss of 6.8 million ringgits, or a loss of 3 sen per share, in the year-earlier period.
As of Aug. 29, US$1 was equivalent to 4.04 ringgits.
