Metminco to close sale of noncore Mollacas copper project in Chile

Metminco Ltd. expects to close the sale of its noncore Mollacas copper project in Chile in the next few weeks, including requirements for repatriating the US$1 million in sale proceeds.

Additionally, the company is assessing the results from its recent drilling campaign at Chuscal, part of the Quinchia gold project in Colombia, and assay results from the last drillhole are expected in mid-January, according to a news release.

Metminco said Jan. 6 that it will use the assay results to formulate its 2020 exploration plan, including completing a district-scale 3D geological and structural study of the Chuscal, Tesorito, Miraflores and Dosquebradas porphyry/epithermal systems.
