Thai Textile Industry Q3 loss narrows YOY

Thai Textile Industry PCL said its third-quarter normalized net income came to a loss of 12 satang per share, compared with a loss of 37 satang per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of 5.7 million baht, compared with a loss of 18.5 million baht in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin increased to negative 0.5% from negative 1.9% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue totaled 988.9 million baht, compared with 996.2 million baht in the prior-year period, and total operating expenses decreased on an annual basis to 977.9 million baht from 1.00 billion baht.

Reported net income totaled a loss of 4.4 million baht, or a loss of 9 satang per share, compared to a loss of 9.5 million baht, or a loss of 19 satang per share, in the prior-year period.

As of Nov. 12, US$1 was equivalent to 35.85 baht.
