Yutaka Giken Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, amounted to ¥121.62 per share, an increase of 42.6% from ¥85.30 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥1.80 billion, an increase of 42.6% from ¥1.26 billion in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin rose to 3.5% from 2.6% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue climbed on an annual basis to ¥51.02 billion from ¥48.64 billion, and total operating expenses increased from the prior-year period to ¥47.91 billion from ¥46.09 billion.
Reported net income increased 27.9% from the prior-year period to ¥2.02 billion, or ¥135.98 per share, from ¥1.57 billion, or ¥106.29 per share.
As of Feb. 13, US$1 was equivalent to ¥118.68.
