The Monetary Authority of Singapore and the Association of Supervisors of Banks of the Americas, or ASBA, signed a memorandum of understanding to further fintech cooperation.
Under the MOU, Singapore and ASBA member countries in Latin America will explore potential joint innovation projects such as blockchain and big data, as well as discuss innovative financial services and emerging fintech trends, according to a June 9 MAS statement.
The MAS has also signed joint fintech agreements with other global associations, including those in France, South Korea and Australia.
