Nestle negotiating with European retailers to end pricing dispute

Nestlé SA is negotiating with retailers to end a boycott of its products by several European retailers due to a dispute over pricing, Reuters reported Feb. 21, citing a statement from the food company.

“We regret that our consumers cannot currently access Nestle products in some stores in Europe. We continue to negotiate in good faith and hope to find an amicable solution soon to this highly regrettable situation,” said Nestle in a statement, according to the report.

The report also noted that European buying group AgeCore, which represents retailers including Germany-based Edeka and France-based Intermarché, has ceased taking orders from the Swiss food group over pricing issues.
