Unionized workers at Kaiser Aluminum's facilities ratify 5-year labor deal

Unionized workers at Kaiser Aluminum Corp.'s facilities in Newark, Ohio, and Spokane, Wash., ratified a new five-year labor agreement, according to a Dec. 16 release.

The agreement with the United Steelworkers, which affects about 900 employees, will be effective from Oct. 1, 2020, to Sept. 30, 2025.

The new labor deal also extends the term of the director designation agreement that allows the union to nominate candidates that would comprise up to 40% of the company's board.
