BNP Paribas names country head for Mexico to spur regional growth plans

BNP Paribas SA appointed Francisco Hernandez Lozano as country head for Mexico, according to a March 5 statement from the French banking group.

Hernandez Lozano will be leading corporate and institutional banking activities in the Latin American country, Paribas said.

As part of the French banking group's growth goals, it is launching a strategic plan for Latin America with "strong ambitions" in Mexico.

The development plan, called CIB 2020, includes "expanding existing business lines, introducing new activities and the creation of a bank in Mexico," the statement noted, adding that the new country manager role will be key to supporting the bank's regional ambitions.
