Accent Group fiscal H1 profit climbs YOY

Accent Group Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first half ended Dec. 27, 2015, amounted to 3 Australian cents per share, an increase of 68.2% from 2 cents per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was A$14.0 million, an increase from A$4.7 million in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue increased on an annual basis to A$219.7 million from A$49.0 million, and total operating expenses rose on an annual basis to A$194.9 million from A$41.4 million.

Reported net income increased year over year to A$16.1 million, or 3 cents per share, from A$5.6 million, or 2 cents per share.
