Mountain Province Diamonds Inc. said May 30 that it recovered a 95-carat gem diamond from its Gahcho Kué mine in Canada's Northwest Territories.
The diamond is the largest gem quality stone and fourth largest stone recovered since production commenced at the mine, the company added.
Mountain Province will present the stone at its upcoming rough diamond tender, with viewings to be held from June 11 through June 22 in Antwerp, Belgium.
The company holds a 49% interest in the Gahcho Kué joint venture, with the remaining stake owned by De Beers SA.
