Sun Hung Kai subsidiary places HK$5.46B bid to win Hong Kong data center site

A subsidiary of Sun Hung Kai Properties Ltd.'s Sunevision Holdings Ltd. tech unit secured the 50-year land grant to a data center site in the Tseung Kwan O district of New Territories, Hong Kong, after it placed the winning bid of nearly HK$5.46 billion.

To win the tender for the roughly 27,444-square-meter Tseung Kwan O Town Lot No. 131 property, Easy Vision Development Ltd. outbid eight other companies, including subsidiaries of Sino Land Co. Ltd., Far East Consortium International Ltd. and Singapore's Mapletree Investments Pte Ltd., according to the Lands Department of the special administrative region.

Tseung Kwan O Town Lot No. 131, which is zoned for high-tier data center purposes, has a minimum gross floor area of 67,584 square meters and a maximum gross floor area of 112,640 square meters. It was earlier valued by Colliers International at approximately HK$3.75 billion.
