Fed lifts cease-and-desist order against Barclays Bank PLC, New York branch

The Federal Reserve Board on May 15 made public the termination of a cease-and-desist order issued to London-based Barclays Bank PLC and its New York branch in August 2010.

The order was regarding the bank's compliance with U.S. economic sanctions.

The enforcement action's termination became effective May 11.

Barclays Bank PLC is a unit of Barclays PLC.
