Ford recalls 322,000 vehicles in Europe on fire risks, acid leaks

Ford Motor Co.'s European arm issued a recall for about 322,000 vehicles on fire risks caused by acid leaks, Automotive News Europe reported Sept. 24, citing a spokesman.

Affected vehicles leak battery acid and become prone to overheating.

The carmaker's German arm will recall 101,000 of the vehicles, while Ford of Britain will recall 56,000 vehicles.

Mondeo, S-Max and Galaxy models built between February 2014 and February 2019 are affected, the spokesman said.
