Insurers have submitted 2019 proposed rates for individual health plans to the Oregon Division of Financial Regulation, with Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of the Northwest seeking a rate increase of 14.3% and PacificSource Health Plans asking for a decrease of 9.58%.
Apart from Kaiser Foundation, two other insurers sought double-digit increases. Health Net Health Plan of Oregon Inc. and Providence Health Plan asked for rate hikes of 16.3% and 13.6%, respectively.
BridgeSpan Health Co. and Moda Health Plan Inc. requested high single-digit rate increases of 9.4% and 9.2%, respectively, while Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Oregon sought a rate hike of 5%.
