Fed affirms countercyclical capital buffer at 0%

The Federal Reserve Board, following consultations with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, voted to keep the countercyclical capital buffer at 0%.

The buffer is a tool to raise capital requirements on internationally active banking organizations in times of elevated risk.
