More parties interested in Oslo Børs shares, board urges shareholders to wait

Oslo Børs VPS Holding ASA's board said Jan. 11 that there are other parties, besides Euronext NV, interested in acquiring the company but urged shareholders to wait for its final recommendation.

The board said it will recommend its preferred approach by the end of February at the latest.

Euronext recently made an offer to acquire the Norwegian bourse and drummed up significant shareholder support for it.

However, the exchange's parent company later questioned the tender process, saying it was carried out before the board was notified.

The company also said that the process left out certain "strategic relevant parties" and it subsequently invited new bidders to participate in the tender process.
