The Indonesian government has issued a copper concentrate export permit for Freeport-McMoRan Inc. subsidiary PT Freeport Indonesia, after the previous permit expired Feb. 16, Reuters reported Feb. 19, citing government minerals director Bambang Susigit.
The permit allows the company to export just less than 1.25 million tonnes of copper concentrate from its Grasberg copper-gold mine in the country until Feb. 15, 2019.
Meanwhile, the government also issued export permit to Medco Energi Internasional unit Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara, allowing it to export 450,826 tonnes of copper concentrate from its Batu Hijau mine over the same period.
