PPL's UK subsidiaries file base prospectus for £4B of notes

PPL Corp.'s U.K. subsidiaries on Aug. 12 published a base prospectus for the possible issuance of up to £4 billion of medium-term notes from time to time.

The issuers of notes are Western Power Distribution (East Midlands) PLC, Western Power Distribution (West Midlands) PLC, Western Power Distribution (South West) PLC and Western Power Distribution (South Wales) PLC.

The issuers plan to use the proceeds from any transaction for general corporate purposes, according to the filing.

Banco Santander SA, Barclays Bank PLC, HSBC Bank PLC, Lloyds Bank Corporate Markets PLC, Merrill Lynch International, Mizuho International PLC, MUFG Securities EMEA PLC, NatWest Markets PLC and RBC Europe Limited are the dealers, while NatWest Markets PLC is the arranger.
