Fund manager Arlington Advisors launched a new £400 million platform to invest in purpose-built student housing assets close to university campuses in city centers across the U.K., IPE Real Assets reported.
Arlington Student Accommodation Fund is set to be seeded with a portfolio of 15 assets comprising upward of 8,000 student beds across 10 main U.K. cities, including London, Birmingham, Leeds and Manchester.
Arlington Advisors is planning to add between 1,500 and 1,800 additional student beds to the new fund on an annual basis, reflecting an estimated gross asset value of £150 million per year.
The company manages Arlington Investors' portfolio of over 10,200 beds, the May 14 report noted.
