PIMCO's real estate fund adds $750M to coffers

PIMCO pulled in $750 million over two months for its BRAVO Fund III, bringing the firm closer to the low end of its fundraising target range of $3 billion to $4 billion, PERE News reported, citing its sister publication Private Debt Investor.

The special situations vehicle, which targets real estate and specialty finance investments, has corralled $2.25 billion so far, according to SEC filings.

The fund received a $100 million allocation from the New Mexico State Investment Council, based on documents from that endowment fund.

Other backers of the fund are the Teachers' Retirement System of the State of Illinois and the Arkansas Local Police and Fire Retirement System, which earmarked $100 million and $10 million, respectively, according to the report.
