Canadian data center and cloud service provider eStruxture Data Centers Inc. will receive an undisclosed amount of investment from Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec and Fengate Capital Management Ltd.
The investment will enable eStruxture to fund its acquisition of Shaw Communications Inc.'s Calgary-1 data center, according to an Aug. 6 news release. EStruxture will also use the proceeds to support its growth strategy via further acquisitions and expansion of existing data centers, as well as the construction of new data centers.
Montréal headquartered eStruxture operates five data centers: three in Montréal and two in the Vancouver area.
