Health Insurance Innovations unit fined for operating in Florida without license

The Florida Office of Insurance Regulation levied a fine of $140,000 on Health Plan Intermediaries Holdings LLC, a subsidiary of Health Insurance Innovations Inc., for operating as an insurance administrator in the state before applying for a license to do so.

The company has since received a license from the regulator.
