DCM Holdings Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Aug. 31 amounted to ¥22.81 per share, a decline of 5.7% from ¥24.20 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥3.15 billion, a decrease of 7.4% from ¥3.41 billion in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin dropped to 2.9% from 3.0% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue decreased year over year to ¥108.82 billion from ¥112.65 billion, and total operating expenses declined year over year to ¥103.56 billion from ¥107.01 billion.
Reported net income declined 7.5% on an annual basis to ¥2.89 billion, or ¥20.88 per share, from ¥3.12 billion, or ¥22.19 per share.
As of Oct. 9, US$1 was equivalent to ¥107.90.
