Unibel H1 profit climbs 59.0% YOY

Unibel SA said its normalized net income for the first half came to €28.38 per share, an increase of 59.0% from €17.85 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was €59.5 million, a gain of 59.0% from €37.4 million in the prior-year period.

Total revenue increased 7.9% year over year to €1.45 billion from €1.34 billion, and total operating expenses climbed from the prior-year period to €1.30 billion from €1.25 billion.

Reported net income grew year over year to €60.6 million, or €28.89 per share, from €29.2 million, or €13.91 per share.
