Insight Partners leads $100M funding round for analytics platform Sisense

Sisense Inc., an analytics platform for information builders, raised more than $100 million in a funding round led by Insight Venture Management LLC, or Insight Partners.

Other participants in the fundraiser include existing investors Bessemer Venture Partners, Battery Ventures and DFJ Growth Management LLC, along with new investor and Access Industries Inc.'s Israeli tech investment arm ClalTech.

The new financing boosted Sisense's valuation to more than $1 billion. Sisense will use the fresh capital to further invest in its platform, as well as to support efforts to increase its market share.

Access Industries is chaired by its founder, British-American billionaire Len Blavatnik. The company, through its subsidiaries, owns stakes in companies such as Warner Music Group Corp. and Perform Group Ltd. Insight Partners is a venture capital and private equity firm that usually invests in tech companies.
