Report: Mizrahi Tefahot to close offices in Uruguay, focus on London expansion

Mizrahi Tefahot Bank Ltd. will shutter its offices in Uruguay by the end of 2017, having closed its office in Panama last year as it shifts the focus of its international activities to London, Globes reported April 6.

The bank plans to expand in London, taking advantage of the fact that some other Israeli banks have left the U.K., according to Globes.

The lender reportedly has no plans to close its offices in other countries such as Mexico and Germany.
