Luna Gold, JDL Gold shareholders approve merger to form Trek Mining

Shareholders of Luna Gold Corp. and JDL Gold Corp. approved the two companies' merger to create a multi-asset mining company named Trek Mining Inc.

Luna Gold shareholders approved the plan of arrangement relating to the merger, while JDL shareholders approved the issuance of common shares pursuant to the transaction.

The transaction is expected to close March 31, subject to final approval by the TSX Venture Exchange and the Supreme Court of British Columbia. Luna Gold shareholders will receive 1.105 JDL Gold common shares for each Luna Gold share held on closing, and each JDL Gold common share will be converted to one common share of Trek Mining.

Trek Mining is expected to begin trading on the TSX Venture Exchange on March 31, under the ticker symbol TREK.
