Spirit Energy Ltd. on March 16 started producing oil and gas from the Oda field, 13 kilometers east of the Ula field in the North Sea, according to a March 19 release from the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate.
The field is located in production license 405 in block 8/10 with the directorate estimating it to hold remaining oil reserves of 5.04 million standard cubic meters and gas reserves of 210 million standard cubic meters.
Spirit Energy Norway AS operates the field with a 40% stake while Suncor Energy Inc. subsidiary Suncor Energy Norge AS, Aker BP ASA and Faroe Petroleum PLC's subsidiary Faroe Petroleum Norge AS hold interests of 30%, 15% and 15%, respectively.
