British American Tobacco names CEO for Reynolds American

British American Tobacco Plc said it will appoint Ricardo Oberlander as president and CEO of Reynolds American Inc., effective Dec. 31.

Oberlander, who serves as regional director for the Americas, will succeed Debra Crew.

Crew has decided to leave Reynolds American months after its acquisition by British American Tobacco was completed.

Kingsley Wheaton will become regional director for the Americas and Sub-Saharan Africa at Reynolds American, replacing Oberlander.

Wheaton was previously managing director of the company's Next Generation Products unit.
