Banco del Estado de Chile has appointed Julio Guzmán Herrera its new CFO as part of a reshuffling of its senior management team and a restructuring of some divisions, Diario Financiero reported, citing an internal statement from the bank.
Guzmán Herrera will replace Carlos Martabit, who has been in the CFO position since 2000. Martabit will continue to advise the boards of BancoEstado's subsidiaries, the bank said.
Guzmán Herrera had been an independent director at Banco Consorcio, though submitted his resignation from that position on May 30.
BancoEstado also named Marcelo Hiriart to be it branch division manager, replacing Antonio Bertrand. Hiriart was a commercial manager of personal banking at the company and a member of the board of BancoEstado SA Administradora General de Fondos.
Aside from the commercial aspect, Hiriart will also be in charge of micro, small and medium-sized businesses.
Meanwhile, Leopoldo Quintano will head the bank's marketing and quality division, a new segment in which several of the bank's divisions were integrated. Quintano arrived at the bank in 2012 as marketing and quality manager.
In turn, María Cecilia Vergara left her post as people division manager.
Furthermore, Jonás Preller will head the bank's new communications and sustainability management division, which was formed by merging the areas of corporate identity management and sustainable development, La Tercera reported.
Lastly, the bank established the operations and systems management division, which incorporates the transformation management segment.
In turn, Michel Moure and Luis Alberto Soto left as corporate identity manager and transformation director, respectively.
The management changes take effect June 1.
