Roku Inc. will launch its streaming devices in Canada and various countries in Latin America.
The company expects its new Roku Express to be available in Canada in November from retailers.
Additionally, Roku will make its streaming platform available to consumers and content publishers in Argentina, Central America, Chile, Colombia and Peru. The company will launch its second-generation Roku Express+, which streams in HD, in these territories, along with the Roku Streaming Stick+, which is capable of streaming HD, 4K and 4K high dynamic range up to 60 frames per second.
Further, content publishers in Latin America will be able to deliver video to consumers by developing streaming channels for the Roku Channel Store. Roku streaming players will be available from retailers in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama and Peru in the coming weeks, the company said Oct. 17.
Earlier this month, the company unveiled the new line of its streaming devices along with the newest version of its operating system. Roku also recently disclosed plans to launch its new streaming players in France and the U.K.
