Subaru Corp. on Aug. 5 slightly raised its basic EPS guidance for fiscal 2020 after reporting first-quarter results that beat analysts' expectations.
The Tokyo-based automaker now expects basic EPS for the year to be ¥273.88 compared with the previous guidance of ¥273.68.
For the first quarter ended June 30, the company's basic EPS came in at ¥86.67, beating the S&P Global Market Intelligence GAAP EPS estimate of ¥72.24.
Operating profit also jumped 48.4% year over year to ¥92.21 billion for the three-month period, while revenue totaled ¥833.42 billion, up 16% year over year.
As of Aug. 2, US$1 was equivalent to ¥106.67.
