Banco Financiero del Peru SA's long-serving chairman, Jorge Gruenberg, has stepped down from his position after more than 22 years, the company said in a filing.
Gruenberg, who was first appointed to the Peruvian bank's board in March 1996, will stay on as a director, the company said. Banco Financiero did not immediately announce who would become its new chairman. Fidel Egas Grijalva is currently vice chairman of the board.
The bank also said that it increased the size of its board to eight members from six, and named Lieneke Schol Calle and Luciana Olivares Cortes to fill those seats, effective May 24.
