Thomas Cook (India) posts fiscal Q2 profit

Thomas Cook (India) Ltd said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Sept. 30 was 164.2 million rupees.

Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.

The normalized profit margin was 1.7%.

Total revenue came to 9.65 billion rupees, and total operating expenses came to 9.27 billion rupees.

Reported net income totaled 146.0 million rupees, or 46 paise per share.

As of Oct. 29, US$1 was equivalent to 65.42 Indian rupees.
