Allied World Europe has appointed Darren Jacobs senior vice presidentfor general casualty.

He will lead the company's primary and excess casualty operationin London. Jacobs joins Allied World from Zurich Insurance Co., where he was previouslyhead of global corporate and chief underwriting officer for the Middle East.
