Vontobel launches new boutique, loses chief strategist

Vontobel Holding AG said Dec. 12 that its chief strategist and head of the balanced/multiasset class unit, Christophe Bernard, is leaving after transferring his responsibilities to Daniel Seiler.

Seiler is set to head a new CHF40 billion multiasset boutique with expanded investment options — created by combining Bernard's team and Vescore to meet investor demand.

Bernard joined Vontobel in February 2012 to lead a unit of 20 investment specialists with CHF10 billion of client assets under management.

Seiler joined Vescore as chief investment officer in 2009.
