Prologis Inc. off-loaded a portfolio of eight logistics facilities in France to private equity firm Carlyle Group for an undisclosed sum.
Carlyle acquired the portfolio on behalf of investment funds it advises, kick-starting the firm's initiative to build a high-yielding logistics platform in France, according to a release.
The portfolio spans 180,000 square meters and is more than 80% occupied. The facilities are largely spread across Paris and Lyon.
HSBC provided Carlyle with a financing facility for the transaction.
DLA Piper, Darrois Villey Maillot Brochier, PwC and Attal & Associés advised Carlyle on the deal, while CBRE and Expansion Asset Management were its respective market and asset management advisers.
