Japanese automaker Subaru Corp. named Thomas Doll as the new CEO of Subaru of America Inc., as it confirmed reports of a leadership reshuffle in Japan following an inspection scandal.
Doll, the longtime president and COO of Subaru of America, will succeed chairman and CEO Tomomi Nakamura.
Nakamura will become the new president of Subaru Corp., the company confirmed, replacing Yasuyuki Yoshinaga. Nakamura will also serve as new COO of the parent firm.
While Yoshinaga is stepping down as Subaru Corp. president, he will keep his role as CEO of the parent firm and will also become chairman.
The top-management changes at Subaru Corp. will be finalized at the company's general meeting in June.
