KBL changes name to Quintet amid expansion plan

KBL European Private Bankers SA has renamed to Quintet, according to a Jan. 16 press release.

As a part of this move, the pan-European private banking group becomes Quintet Private Bank, while KBL Luxembourg and KBL España were rebranded to Quintet Luxembourg and Quintet España.

Other units of the company like Brown Shipley and InsingerGilissen retained their names but will be identified as a Quintet private bank.

Meanwhile, the company will hire roughly 100 relationship managers and look to expand in Latin America, the Middle East, Asia as well as East and South Africa, the Financial Times reported, citing Jakob Stott, the group's CEO for wealth management.
