Bandai Namco Holdings Inc. said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31 came to ¥24.79 per share, an increase from ¥6.30 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥5.45 billion, an increase from ¥1.38 billion in the prior-year period.
Total revenue grew 12.0% on an annual basis to ¥156.31 billion from ¥139.55 billion, and total operating expenses increased 7.5% year over year to ¥147.63 billion from ¥137.38 billion.
Reported net income came to ¥5.63 billion, or ¥25.61 per share, compared to a loss of ¥4.65 billion, or a loss of ¥21.16 per share, in the year-earlier period.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled ¥167.11 per share, a gain of 29.4% from ¥129.18 per share in the prior year.
Normalized net income was ¥36.72 billion, a rise of 29.4% from ¥28.38 billion in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue grew 11.4% on an annual basis to ¥565.49 billion from ¥507.68 billion, and total operating expenses rose 10.0% on an annual basis to ¥509.17 billion from ¥463.01 billion.
The company said reported net income rose 50.0% year over year to ¥37.59 billion, or ¥171.08 per share, in the full year, from ¥25.05 billion, or ¥114.03 per share.
