Report: Advent seeks up to $1B for 1st tech fund

Advent International Corp. set up its first fund that will invest in the technology sector, PE Hub Buyouts reported, citing unnamed sources.

With a target of as much as $1 billion, the vehicle could be the private equity firm's largest flagship fund to date, according to the news outlet.

Advent reportedly launched the fund with Bryan Taylor, who recently joined the firm as managing partner within its technology investment team. Taylor is a former technology executive at TPG.
