Jerrick Media Q1 loss widens 87.3% YOY

Jerrick Media Holdings Inc. said its normalized net income for the first quarter was a loss of $407,310, compared with a loss of $217,520 in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.

Total revenue decreased 24.3% year over year to $120,710 from $159,380, and total operating expenses climbed 54.2% from the prior-year period to $739,240 from $479,510.

Reported net income totaled a loss of $651,690, or a loss of 2 cents per share, compared to a loss of $348,020, or a loss of 1 cents per share, in the prior-year period.
