Cupid Ltd said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Sept. 30 amounted to 3.46 Indian rupees per share, an increase from 1.37 rupees per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 38.4 million rupees, a gain from 15.2 million rupees in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin increased to 25.1% from 15.1% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue rose 52.7% on an annual basis to 153.2 million rupees from 100.3 million rupees, and total operating expenses rose 25.2% on an annual basis to 95.2 million rupees from 76.0 million rupees.
Reported net income grew on an annual basis to 41.1 million rupees, or 3.70 rupees per share, from 17.2 million rupees, or 1.55 rupees per share.
As of Oct. 30, US$1 was equivalent to 65.41 Indian rupees.
