EPCOR Utilities closes C$400M offering

EPCOR Utilities Inc. on Nov. 27 said it closed a Canadian public offering for C$400 million of 3.554% unsecured medium term notes due Nov. 27, 2047.

The securities are rated A (low) by DBRS Limited and A- by S&P Global Ratings. The company plans to use net proceeds from the offering for general corporate purposes, including repayment of debt, capital expenditure projects and working capital requirements.

The offering was made under EPCOR's short form base shelf prospectus filed Nov. 27, 2015. Scotia Capital Inc. and TD Securities Inc. served as co-leads and joint bookrunners for the transaction.
