TransCanada Corp. said June 15 that it began an open season seeking binding contracts for crude oil transportation on the Marketlink pipeline system.
The open season is scheduled to close July 13. The Marketlink system originates in Cushing, Okla., and delivers crude oil to markets on the Gulf Coast. TransCanada most recently solicited shipper interest on the system in April.
TransCanada owns and operates energy infrastructure, including a large network of natural gas and liquids pipelines across major supply basins in North America.
