Valparaí­so Sporting Club SA Q3 profit climbs 18.7% YOY

Valparaíso Sporting Club S.A. said its third-quarter normalized net income was 193.1 million pesos, a rise of 18.7% from 162.7 million pesos in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.

The normalized profit margin climbed to 9.9% from 8.9% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue increased 7.3% year over year to 1.95 billion pesos from 1.82 billion pesos, and total operating expenses rose from the prior-year period to 1.64 billion pesos from 1.59 billion pesos.

Reported net income totaled 256.9 million pesos, compared with 199.9 million pesos in the year-earlier period.

As of Nov. 30, US$1 was equivalent to 673.28 Chilean pesos.
